Another mercenary unit for my Carthaginian army: Ligurian Javelinmen. Nothing particularly special with these guys. As poor mountain men I didn’t want the colours to be quite as vivid as the Celts so I made them a bit of a muted hodgepodge. I also tried a different vibe to the shields, based on what Little Big Men Studios have for their Ligurians. These two changes will also, hopefully, help to distinguish them from the Celts, as they’re all based the same (2 ranks of 3 on a 40mm base).

These miniatures are by Magister Militum/Chariot Miniatures like the rest of this army. The pack I used is CAR15 (Ligurian Javelinmen). Each pack has 8 miniatures and there are 3 different, if fairly similar, poses. These have been based as Javelinmen (LMI), so it’s 6 miniatures on a 40x40mm base. The Carthaginian lists can only use 3 stands, but I made 4. I did this as I had the miniatures, it’s 8 to a pack and 18 means three packs with 6 (i.e. a full base) left over. So I just painted them up anyway; I’m sure they’ll be useful for another army list at some point.
