Hospitaller Sergeants with Crossbow

Many of the colours (armour, coats, straps, skin, etc) are the same as for the Brother Knights. However, there are a couple of new bits:

  • Crossbow:
    • Wood – Base: Sandalwood (SC-26)
    • Wood – Wash: Sepia Shade (VGC 73.200)
    • Metal – Base: Gunmetal Grey (VMC 70.863)
    • Wash: Black Wash (VGC 73.201)
  • Quiver:
    • Same as the Brother Knight’s scabbard.
    • Quarrel Feathers – Base: White Sands (SC-09)
    • Wash: Sepia Shade (VGC 73.200)
  • Padded Armour:
    • Base: Birch (SC-25)
    • Wash: Inktense Wood (SC-80
  • Tunics & Pants:
    • Colour 1: Navy Blue (SC-54)
    • Colour 2: Bering Blue (SC-06)
    • Colour 3: Black Forest Green (SC-41)
    • Colour 4: Blood Red (SC-36)
    • Colour 5: Graphite (SC-03)
    • Colour 6: White Sands (SC-09)
    • Colour 7: Sahara Yellow (SC-11)
    • Colour 8: Ardennes Green (SC-45)
    • Wash 1-3,5,6,8: Black Wash (VGC 73.201)
    • Wash 4,7: Sepia Shade (VGC 73.200) & Red Shade (VGC 73.206) — 1:1
  • Shoes:
    • Base: Orange Leather (SC-28)
    • Wash: Inktense Chestnut (SC-81)

You can’t see the chest on the ones aiming, but I did paint the crosses on the chests of the ones carrying their crossbows. At some point this detail is going to drive me crazy, as it’s tough to paint in some spots.

These miniatures are again from Legio Heroica. These are the Military Orders Crossbowmen (CRU18). There are 3 different variants: 2 with chain mail and 1 with padded armour. The figure with padded armour is also walking with the crossbow, while the others are aiming them. Each pack contains 8 miniatures with the crossbows separate castings to the rest of the figure.
