May 2025 Recap

We kicked off our 2025 Necromunda campaign in March and that continued through April and into May. The second phase of the campaign begun with a multiplayer game with the gangs of Sabotage trying to poison the supplies while the gangs of Control tried to stop them, across a 6″ x 4″ foot table. In the weeks that followed we completed this second phase, involving numerous individual games, to finally enter downtime to prepare for the third and final phase.

Earlier in the month there were many games of BattleTech as several members were practicing for a trip to Brisbane to play in the BattleTech tournament at BrisCon. All up, eight Knights flew to Brisbane for the weekend, most to play BattleTech and a couple playing Legions Imperialis.

Other games played at the club this month included Malifaux, with its new edition of rules, Conquest, Space Gits, and even a little Warmaster.

Crudboy's initiation into war gaming was with Battletech way back in high school, where he spent more time creating 'mechs with his friends, and not nearly enough time actually playing the game. Since then, Crudboy has dabbled in so many different tabletop games that he no longer remembers which rule goes with which game. His latest loves include, but aren't confined to, Frostgrave, Gloomhaven, and Gaslands.
