Regis Victoria has been run and won, this being our first Conquest tournament we were looking for at most 12 players, we had seven say they wanted to play, but on the day we had one player get an illness (we wish home a speedy recovery). So we had six players with the following factions represented.

Along with our players we have to thank our clubs amazing sponsors, firstly Zepnix Games. Zepnix games supplied 99% of the prize support for this tournament, we also had our clubs other sponsor Milsims lined up to help but with the support we got from Zepnix it was not needed.

We also had some extra stuff sent down from Cryptic Battlefield in the from on some mystery boxes there.
Again thankyou for the awesome support provided by our Sponsors.
This being our first and being only one of the few events ever held in Victoria we went light on painting requirements, like no requirements, we want people to play and enjoy the game first, and as we get more events happening we see more people paint more units and armies. So there was no prize for painting, or for sportsmanship.
With sportsmanship and being a small community here in melbourne we have to see each other again, we see people helping other with the game. Questions to be the the TO tend not to be hard questions and rulings but more making sure that new players do get the most out of what they are trying to achieve and help in doing so. For me, the TO it was a rather easy day, with amazing players helping each other.
So on to the round 1.

Rounds were 2.5hours long and terrain was all predefined. so we were off and running, with two games finishing well before the 2.5hour mark and one running to time. Some of the players had not played a game since Cancon so it was one of those games where people had to get back in to the swing of things.

With round 1 in the can, we had Old Dominion, 100K and City States all winning. And it was Lunch time, we had one of the players gather and cook a BBq for everyone, Thank you ShadowMK for the work you did there, as they say many hands make light work.
Round 2

Final Round Round 3

The final Standings.

In the end everybody had at least one win, but ShadowMK came away with a record of 3-0 and won the day, Congrats ShadowMK.
Now for the lists. Firstly the winning list.
This is a solid OD list with the latest addition of Buccephaloi which he won at Cancon this year.
In 2nd place with 100 Kingdoms was Traedarch
Finally in third place with Wadrhun was JB11
From a TO point of view it was easy to run, the hardest bit was setting up the tables, Terrain I need to further work on before the next tournament we run, while there was enough, I feel there needs to be some diversity of terrain. but defining what each piece is on the table make it much quicker to get playing.
Our next event will be running Demo’s at PAX Australia in Early October, we may get another event in either November or early December, these are in the air, as with bookings for bowls clubs where we are located does get busy that time of the year, but it would again be a single day event if we can get it off the ground. We do hope to run Regis Victoria again next year, hoping to get to at least 12 people, and if we are lucky maybe over two days.
