Mantic Games‘ Here’s Neegan was one of my gaming Christmas presents. I haven’t played it yet, but the current plan is to play the scenarios at the club with a few clubmates. We’re aiming for 4-Feb, so that means I need to get painting them. The good thing is I don’t have a heap to paint. I’ve got a fair few zombies already as part of my other The Walking Dead: All Out War purchases so I’ll use them and just focus on the 6 Saviour miniatures.

First up is John; he’s dressed in your standard bad guy outfit: jeans paired with a white singlet. This scheme I have painted is exactly the studio paint job. I could have done something else with the miniature. However, it really suits the miniature and it is a standard bad guy outfit. It’s also something I’m pretty comfortable with; I have my denim and white cloth techniques for the Walking Dead miniatures down. So it was just the darker skin tones where I tried something a bit new (yellower than Derek).

Last, for this post, is Tara. I went for a darker, more Asian complexion for Tara coupled with camouflage pants. One of the interested details on this model is the underwear showing as the pant hang very low. I went for something very bright here to pop out from what’s a fairly plain colour miniature in a fairly plain crew. I’ve tried to create a digital camo pattern on the pants. I’m not thrilled with how it turned out, but I don’t hate it either. I used a toothpick to paint the “pixels”, stolen from a YouTube video.
