SWAT Van

The good people at Knight Models were generous enough to send a few terrain pieces for use at PAX Australia. While most of these are being assembled by Mind Games Melbourne (who are helping me out). One of the items I am assembling is Knight Model’s SWAT Van. This model is laser cut from 3mm MDF and went together really easy. I smoothed out the edges with some Squadron Green putty and added clear plastic sheet windows (old blister packaging). Aside from that it’s pretty much just been assembled and painted straight from the kit.

Probably the last miniature I’ll get done for PAX. I’m quite happy with how he turned out. He is bright.

Told you it’s been productive: I’ve finished 2 out of the 3 SWAT miniatures. Unfortunately I didn’t note the colours down so they’re lost to history.

There’s been a little Batman progress over the last few days. The impending PAX deadline (end of October) has brought these guys to the front of the queue. Where better to start than a BFF for Batman?

I went for a fairly standard look for Commissioner Gordon: charcoal suit, light blue shirt, blue tie and a brown overcoat.

SAGA

SAGA, a game set in the dark ages. Vikings raiding the world etc. what is there not to love. I have two very unfinished war bands for Saga, the Jomsvikings and Scot’s. I have only had them since the game came out, a very long time ago, of course what is embarrassing is that I have never played a game either. Well with the latest addition to the rules out, Crescent and Cross, moving the battle’s to the middle east, I finally find something to bring me back to painting knights.

Pond’s

Pond’s add an interesting feature to any gaming table, in game terms they vary between game, some Infantry can enter but not tanks and stuff. so the use of them is as much as for area denial as well as a feature a cleaver commander can use to aid themselves in the mission on hand.
