I picked up the Rubicon Models M4A3 Sherman kit some time ago, I have finally had a chance to sit down and build this kit.
I am always impressed with the amount of options that Rubicon Models packs into each kit. It is something I look forward to each time I build one of these kits.
4Ground Ruined House is the start of some World War II 28mm Terrain, I picked the kit up at the LFGS when I was in there to get some paints, yep impulse buy is there nothing better.
Another voyage into a completely different system. This week it’s Malifaux by Wyrd Games. First off I want to say I’ve never really given plastics much thought; I guess I was a little old school and hadn’t really moved on from metals. The quality of Dust’s figures hadn’t really sold me either: great vehicles, but soft detailed infantry. However, I’m in love with the Malifaux plastics. They’re on a par with the Knight Models Batman miniatures, but because they’re plastic they’re able to be much thinner without bending or breaking.
Back2Base-ix Paint Rack’s came in I set to putting them together, I again choose the perspex versions of their racks as they look a lot better.
While I get to putting I was thinking about the organisation of my desk, I really need a clear space to work on and with the new racks I finally have nearly enough space for all my paint. Well at least the paints that I keep on my desk. There is also a lot of airbrush paints out by the airbrush.
My progress with Batman miniatures has been painfully slow. Which is really a little sad, as they are spectacular miniatures and do paint up very nicely. Maybe that’s why – I do tend to paint them pretty carefully and slowly.
However, I have finished another one. I’m sure you’ll recognize Catwoman, and while there aren’t a thousand colours on there, she did take a fair bit of effort. It was well worth all of it, and I’m stoked with how she’s turned out. I think I’m happier with her than Batman.
